Event Information

The hackathon will be held in-person at Lehigh University and there will be participant support to help offset the cost of attendance.

The workshop will center around 17 research topics with a small, interdisciplinary team of materials and data scientists dedicated to each problem.  Each team will be of size 2-6 (comprising of materials scientists and data scientists).  

The main activity of the workshop will be small groups collaborating on research.  Keynote speakers will present on data science broadly applicable to solid-state materials chemistry. Several hours each day will be dedicated to collaborators explaining their problems and techniques, brainstorming ideas, and working through data and code as a group.  The teams will also interact as a large group each morning and afternoon with short research updates followed by group discussions.
